Why doesn’t Skorch feature all restaurants and bars?
Finding places to have fun shouldn’t feel like work. We make it easy by only featuring the best (aka Skorch Worthy) spots around town. It’s like your city, but curated.
What does Skorch Worthy mean?
Our app only includes the check-out-worthy restaurants, bars, cafes and attractions. Think of it like a place so great, you’ll actually want to leave the house on time and not even try to cancel plans. Make sense?
When will my city be added to Skorch?
We’re adding new cities quickly as we grow. You can see a list of current cities on Skorch here. If you don’t see yours, don’t freak out. You can request it on that same page.
What’s my hotlist?
The hotlist in your Skorch profile is a list of your fave places, or places you want to remember to check out. It’s basically an organizational tool for having fun, k?
What’s clout?
It kinda shows how much fun a Skorch user is having. You can get clout points by discovering places, posting, following people, getting followers. You know, by using the app.
What if I know a Skorch Worthy place that isn’t on the app?
Let us know about it on the app. Just search for the location, and if it doesn’t appear, follow the prompt to submit it for review. If it’s approved and added, you’re featured in its profile as the user who discovered it. Kind of like internet fame but better.
How will I know if the place I submitted is approved?
Don’t worry, we won’t keep it a secret. You’ll get a notification if it’s added to Skorch’s curated list. So keep those Skorch notifications turned on in your iPhone settings. (Settings > Notifications > Skorch > Allow)
How long does it take to review the place I submitted?
It can take a few days to a few weeks, honestly. We get lots of submissions, and we review them thoroughly before making a call to keep everything on the app super Skorch Worthy.
How can I become a Skorch Select?
We select users to feature based on their Skorch posts. So get out there and don’t forget to share the good times, k? You can also be official and request to be a Skorch Select here if you don’t wanna wait.
Why can’t I upload camera roll photos? / Why can I only post in real time?
We like to keep things in real time while people are actually at the place. It keeps reviews legit and up-to-date, so that you know what you see is what you get.
